How to Take Over Twitter

Today, I’d like to introduce you to our guest author, Harris Fellman. Harris recently launched CoupDeTwitter – a course on how to properly get started with twitter, get lots of followers, and turn those followers into cash.

He is by no means a Social Media Purist, but still he teaches what he considers the “right way” to interact on Twitter & other Social Media platforms (hint: it ain’t by spamming people your offers). Harris has a number of years of success in the internet marketing realm and I feel very honored to have him as a guest author today.

With that … here’s Harris’ blog post entitled “How to Take Over Twitter”:

It’s everywhere. From blogs to newspapers to books at Barnes and Noble. And it’s loud. Tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet.

It’s Twitter. And whether you like it or not (yet) it’s going to be around in some form or another for a long time I suspect. Might as well get used to it, right?

A couple of months ago I was in the same boat many of you might be in right now, wondering whether all this Twitter madness was of any use to me at all or whether it was just a bunch of noise, literally. But I started to hear a lot of Twitter related stories and talked to people that I personally know who were using it in ways that I hadn’t considered before.

And the lightbulb finally went off for me. There was some serious power in Twitter! People were not only using Twitter to make connections and network with others, they were making money too. Some of them making LOTS of it as I came to find out.

The biggest thing that stood out for me is this…

From a marketing perspective, Twitter = Listbuilding. Plain and simple. Proper listbuilding is all about building a list AND building relationships with the people on that list. And in many cases the people I was talking to confided in me that their Twitter contacts were more responsive than even their e-mail lists were. As a long time email marketer, I was pretty shocked. But I started doing research and I discovered several truths that I want to share with you.

There’s a right way and a wrong way to go about using Twitter, and some rules of thumb to keep in mind along the way. But there are several crucial steps you’ll want to take note of.
Here’s how this works:

1. Get followers. Sounds simple right? But there’s a lot of stuff out there that will make you think you can just automate the process and be done with it. BEWARE, Twitter is watching. If you do it wrong, you’re sunk. Account Suspended. Tweet no more.

2. Build a relationship with your followers. Yes, that’s right, you’re going to need to start talking with your followers! You want to treat them like you would anyone you might meet at any other social gathering, stipulating that you’re not at a professional wrestling event and everyone is already yelling at one another. <G>

3. Get them Clicking & ReTweeting. Once you build that relationship with them you want to encourage (gently) them to start clicking links you provide with items of interest and most of all to get them Retweeting your posts. Why? Because the *real* power of Twitter is NOT in your own list of followers. Nope. The real power is in the power of the exponent. If you give things of value to the Twitterverse, the Twitterverse will return the favor… Tenfold.

4. Last but not least. You want to make money right? Of course you do. Once you’ve completed steps one through three, there are a ton of ways that you can start to monetize your followers…their followers and their followers followers. But also beware: Twitter spam is on the rise and people are becoming wary of anyone who just jumps into the pool and starts shouting Marco Polo at the top of their lungs. You have to be very careful to craft your Tweets so that people are still getting maximum value from you.

4 seemingly simple steps, and they’re not rocket science, but they do take some finesse and time to do properly. If you’d like to learn more about how to properly implement these 4 steps, I welcome you to join me and my Coup De Twitter system. It will teach you how to do Twitter the RIGHT way as well as 7 easy ways to make money with it plus a handful of advanced tactics as well. Please visit Coup de Twitter to watch a free 35 minute video that I have prepared for you (no opt-in required).

INTERNET MARKETING ARE YOU READY?

Internet Marketing–Are You Ready To Start (Don’t Click this link Yet!)

Do you know where you want to go? Is your internet marketing business the vehicle to get you there? Starting a business is a lot like driving a car from one place to another. First you need a car then you need a map of how to get there. If you wanted to drive from Virgina to Washington State what would you need? You would need adequate money for gas, food, lodging and a good reliable car. That is not a lot different than what you need to build an internet marketing business. In both cases after you have gotten the basics you need a plan or a map to get you to the destination.

What do you need to start an internet marketing business or to just sell some stuff on line:

  • You need a computer.
  • You need an internet connection.
  • You need motivation.
  • You need a plan.

It is safe to assume that you have the first two if you are reading this.  The next two depend upon you.  First you must look deep down into your soul and determine if this thing is for you.  There are a lot of sites out there to help you decide.  I would advise you to look for the fee stuff about being an entrepreneur.  Look for the characteristic that define a business owner.  No matter how you slice it if you are going to succeed on line you will be a business owner.

Do you have these qualities:

  • A deep seated need to achieve.
  • Self motivated and a self starter.
  • Are you action oriented?
  • Does achieving a goal motivate you?
  • Can you be persuasive?
  • Are you resourceful?
  • Are you tenacious and persistent.  (My kids call me stubborn).
  • Are you resilient–do you bounce well from setbacks?
  • Are you tolerant of the unknown?  Can you do new things without someone to hold your hand?

Take a careful look at these items before you decide to be an entrepreneur.  These traits plus a computer and an internet connection are your vehicle to internet success.  If you have these basic items then you need a plan.  There are lots of people out there willing to sell you a plan including my self.  However I am not going to give you a link to a plan to buy that will make you an instant millionaire.  There ain’t no magic plan–trust me.  This is like any other business you put in your time, energy and some money to earn the reward.  Think about these things and we will discuss methods to build a plan in another post.

If you are smart? You will follow this link to a free internet marketing training site and plan.  I was supposed to put up a squeeze page before I gave you the link to this site.  MAGIC BUTTON Click the magic button now!!

3 Things for Begining Marketers to Avoid

3 THINGS TO DO TO AVOID GETTING SCAMMED AS A BEGINNING MARKETER

By Charles L. Evans

CEO Rattlesnake Mountain Enterprises Inc.

I believe that every new internet marketer gets scammed at least once in the first month of trying to be on line. You are new and eager to get things done. You don’t know where to start. So you get a zillion messages that say buy my product and you will be an instant millionaire. This is bunk. The ain’t no free lunch.  Here is a free product that will get you started.  Magic Button

The reality is you are going to buy products that you don’t need or that don’t work for you. The important thing is to limit these mistakes.

How can you avoid buying products that you don’t need? There are a few significant things that you can do to find products that will help you build your business..

  • Use the grocery store sample method. You go to Costco and try a free sample if you don’t like the sample you don’t buy the product. You don’t buy the product if it is not in your budaget or related to your shopping list. Download and use the free stuff if you like how the author relates to you than put them on your list to considerer for purchase. Look for those that have really done it. Some times this is hard to determine however look at their web site. The most important way to use this method is to search for their name and web site on google. Read what other people have to say. Search the marketing forums for information for beginners. This is good experience and very enlightening.

  • Check them out on Rip Off Report. Don’t believe every thing in rip off but they are a good indicator of how complaints are solved and what the customer service is like.

  • Be careful and due your research before you pull out your credit card.

I learned these lessons the hard way. I was looking to make some extra money and contacted the Robert Allen web site. I got a phone call that promised to evaluate me as a student. You know the story set the hook. My wife and I knew that internet marketing was a good thing. Robert Allen’s Prosper learning promised the moon a delivered a rock. We spent $10,000 on a coaching program that was supposed to put us on easy street. The problem was that the coaches were people that had been in internet marketing for a short while and had not made much money. The first coach quit and went to work for the Ubuntu folks selling and developing commercial software. Our second coach was a lady with a boutique and we were trying to develop a web site to sell auto parts and another to sell jigsaw puzzles. To make matters worse we were signed up for a program on a monthly recurring basis in addition to the $10,000 up front charge. It took me over a year to get that charge canceled and I noticed that it appeared again a month or so ago. Don’t bite on the expensive program unless you know that they will work. Don’t buy the hype. Above all else check with the Better Business Bureau in the city where they are located for complaints. All so check with the secretary of State for that state to see if they actually have a business license. Any legitimate business will have a license.

How can I get started in internet marketing and not get scammed? There are a few easy things to do.

  • Exercise discipline—don’t believe it will be off the market in 3 days. It may be but these things always seem to show up later either as a bonus or a lower price.

  • Do your research.

  • Plan what you want to accomplish.

  • Look at the free stuff—there is a lot of excellent beginning marketing material that is free.  Here is the best free stuff I have ever found.  It doesn’t even cost an email address.  Magic Button You have nothing to loose–press the magic button.  Now go out on the web and look for other free stuff.

Internet Marketing is the wave of the future. You can make money on the internet. You need to get started. Do it the right way and the smart way. I recommend that you avoid all programs the use recurring billing until you have determined that they work for you. There are three recurring products that I use and these can be found on my web site. Any business has some risk—the secret is to manage the risk and get the job done.

LUECK’S LAWS FOR SUCCESS

Internet marketing needs some rules to follow for human relations.  To make an internet business work you need these rules. The article that follows is from an old yellowed paper posted on a bulletin board in a Hanford Nuclear Facility that we were decommissioning. I found these gems of wisdom hidden among the old schedules and papers on this bulletin board. Bernie Lueck was a manager at the Hanford Nuclear Site during operations and decommissioning. I worked for him and with him for a number of years. Bernie was one of the finest managers I have ever worked with. After I found this list I asked him for permission to publish it and share it with others. He freely gave this permission. I consider this to be his work and hope that you will respect it. This happened about 15 years ago.

LUECK’S LAWS FOR SUCCESS

The following are things I’ve learned over the years both the hard way, and from good mentors, now, you could spend hundreds of dollars attending seminars to have these words of wisdom laid upon you, but being the generous person that I am here they are in unabashed English free-of-charge. (for the full effect, imagine my hand is on your shoulder as you read these.)

  1. Don’t believe your own bullshit
When you start believing it, you don’t know whats real and you’ve lost control.

  2. Don’t wait for the tooth fairy.
Nothing gets done unless YOU make it happen.

  3. Always use the system
You may beat it once in a while, but in the long run the system is faster and you maintain your creditability.

  4. Don’t make promises you can’t keep.
    Again, credibility is the issue.

  5. Keep the promises you make.
One of the “great” secrets of success.

  6. If you don’t know—ASK.
There is much, wisdom in the saying “There’s no such thing as a dumb question.” However, it’s a lot easier to handle a dumb question than a dumb mistake.

  7. Anything one man can imagine, other men can make real. (Jules Verne)

Don’t limit your thing or creativity when problem solving, it stagnates the organization and your career.

  8. Right is Right and Wrong is Wrong
Just because everyone else is doing it wrong doesn’t make it right. Do it right (the first time.)

  9. Be professional and courteous to everyone you deal with.
You never know who your boss is going to be next week.

  10. Mistakes are our fault.
If mistakes are made, it is because our system isn’t right, or we haven’t communicated or expectations properly.

  11. Remember, you create your own destiny, no one elses.
People who don’t believe this never get ahead, they just make excuses.

  12. Take care of your people first.
They will determine whether you are a success or failure.

Now that you have read these gems take them and apply them. These “truths” apply to an internet marketing business the same as any other situation.

If you want a business to apply these principles to then follow this link.

WHY ARE WE IN INTERNET MARKETING?

WHY ARE WE INTERNET MARKETERS?

Written by

Charles L. (Bud) Evans

Most us that are newbies to this field have not answered this question. The stock answer is “I want to make money.”   (If you really want to make money click here.) The person that uses this answer probably will never make much money on the internet or anywhere else. There are a several of laws of the universe that apply to most activities. If you want to succeed beyond the average person then you must invoke these laws. They are very simple things.

  • You must give to get. (Can’t be any simpler than that).

  • You must have a clear IMAGE of your goal.

  • You must have a plan to get to your goal.

  • You must desire to reach that goal. You must be willing to do what ever it takes.

Napoleon Hill wrote about goals and success. In Think and Grow Rich, he wrote about desire. Every one should read THINK AND GROW RICH.

The method by which DESIRE for riches can be transmuted into its financial equivalent, consists of six definite, practical steps … Napoleon Hill THINK AND GROW RICH CHAPTER 2

Here is Napoleon Hill’s Awesome Secret …

  • First. Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say “I want lots of money.” Be definite as to the amount.

  • Second. Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such reality as “something for nothing.)

  • Third. Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.

  • Fourth. Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action. (Rockefeller once stated that when you have 90 percent of the information get started.)

  • Fifth. Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.

  • Sixth. Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning. AS YOU READ— SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THE MONEY.

(Napoleon Hill THINK AND GROW RICH CHAPTER 2.)

It must be understood that anything worthwhile can be substituted for money. The same laws of acquisition apply.

In summary we are internet marketers to build a life style, to do good, and to help others. An immutable law of the universe is that you must give to get. Decide what you are going to give the universe to obtain the things that you want. Have those goals clearly in mind and set a time when you will complete each step to attain those goals.

Lastly give your self time to accomplish these things. You must enjoy the journey.

Look for a way to shorten that journey. Find a good course on marketing—one that is written by someone that has made it to the top and includes all the steps. See my web site for suggestions.

SFI a Great MLM Company. Compare this to the Trump Network

The Internet is full of hype for the Trump Network.  Is it the greatest thing to hit the internet since man discovered ice cream.  My opinion is that it is not however, there is an alternative It is called SFI. It is a an internet MLM program geared to the general population.  It is a program that you can get into for free unlike the $500 that Mr. Trump wants for his program.

This program even features an online store where you can sell your surplus items much like eBay.  The great thing about SFI is that it has a proven track record.  They have been in business over ten years. One of their featured sites is TripleClick and it could be the worlds largest garage sale.  Take a look at this business.  It is free and their training program is a free valuable resource for any one on the internet.  Click here NOW.
